Black Vintage Style 1930。What a beautiful and elegant wood brim hat from the fashionable 1940s\'! This hat stands out because the crown is made in a cone shape, which was most in fashion then. The top of the crown is indented and pierced in several places, allowing a narrow black grosgrain band to weave between, creating a most pleasing look At the back there is a \"tassle\" made with the same grosgrain band. The wartime 40’s saw a huge variety of hats that were suitable for any face shape, hairstyle or personal preference. Throughout the war & on both sides of the Atlantic, elaborate creations brightened dreary utility fashions, brought about by rationing. The only items not rationed were hat materials. There is no designer label, indicating it was a custom-made creation. This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years. Feathers, straw, flowers & veils are fragile, given their age.
